The Richardson family has been farming this land for generations, and their ice cream stand draws visitors from all over Essex County. In the fall, the farm hosts pumpkin picking, hayrides, and other seasonal events that make it a true community gathering spot.

Middleton was incorporated in 1728 and has a rich colonial and agricultural history. Several historic landmarks survive today:


🏠 Thomas Fuller House — One of Middleton's oldest surviving structures, this colonial-era home represents the town's early history. Located on South Main Street area.

🏠 Wilkins House — Another of Middleton's historic colonial homes, part of the town's preserved architectural heritage.

🌳 Oldest Tree in Massachusetts — Peabody Street — Middleton is home to what is claimed to be the oldest tree in Massachusetts, located on Peabody Street. This ancient tree is a remarkable natural landmark worth seeking out.
